NEW YORK (AP) -- Following a summer out of the limelight, hucksterfinn, the maverick mastermind behind such critically-acclaimed series as "That Girl" and "Upon Midwestern Shores", will return to where it all started, the dubya-d, later this summer with "Year Two", a thoughtful exploration of growing up and moving on by living loud in New York City, network executives announced today.

"It is our distinct pleasure to welcome the voice and vision of hucksterfinn back into the dubya-d family," offered weblet spokesperson Cody Pendant. "Three ground-breaking series. 258 powerful episodes. All in 18 hectic months. After a well-deserved break, hucksterfinn is back where he belongs, the dubya-d."

Industry insiders consider "Year Two" a remarkable coup for the dubya-d, given the much-publicized split between the creator and the weblet over the direction of "Upon Midwestern Shores", culminating in the series' departure to udn in May 2002. Though "Shores" continued to struggle creatively, leading to its replacement by equally troubled "That Girl" in August 2002, hucksterfinn's relationship with udn remained conspicuously amiable, even after "Girl" faded to black in May 2003.

"Even Yeltsin needed the sanatorium now and again, right?" joked finn, shedding no additional light on the circumstances surrounding his dubya-d homecoming. Although the weblet has yet to confirm a date for the premiere of "Year Two", it is expected to debut prior to the regular fall season, possibly as early as late August.
