yesterday, i was quite pleasantly surprised to witness the transformation of the New York Times Vows section into the Weddings/Celebrations section, including the announcement of a lesbian couple's commitment ceremony. yes, that's right. right there amidst all the WASPy weddings of Kelley and Benton, Lawson and Lars, Blair and Alistair was...Leslie and Alicia, both looking ravishing in their white gowns, officiated by their nondenominational spiritual counselor on fire island. doctors both, they met in the emergency room. can you believe it? keep your eyes open for the lifetime original movie. the first time i see a gay male couple in these pages i just might piss myself. wow.
