Huh? What?

have you seen the new beetle commercial to elo's mr blue sky? fucking fantastic. i saw this first at the movies and it is so cinematic that i was convinced it was a trailer. it was so good that i wasn't bothered by an AD before the MOVIE. doesn't translate as well to the small screen but i smell a clio. oh, and it was filmed in san francisco. ahhh.

did you see the news about the 37 boxes of FEAR left at union square station yesterday? what is this about? the pending transit strike most likely. i got a taste of that yesterday as my L train couldn't stop at union square, leaving me unable to transfer to my trusty 4-5-6, since the station had been evacuated pending a police investigation. ended up catching an F at sixth ave, which worked out since the 57th st stop on the F is actually the closest subway station to work. how did i not know this before? speaking of the strike, i walked to work today. just to get a feel for it. up third avenue. what a gorgeous day it would have been for the third avenue el. ahhh. sometimes i have a nostalgia for train lines i never experienced. my metrocard expired today. thought about chunking down for a 30-day one, but with the possibility of a strike hanging over us, decided against it.

have you seen the american express commercial where that wealthy white couple buy a baby in china? i wonder how THAT appears on their bill.

how about that smoking ban? can you believe it? interestingly enough, it won't go into effect until march. smart move, since nobody's gonna wanna step outside in january for a fag.

have you seen the commercial for grand central station? it ends with the text "located at 42nd st and park avenue". ok, who in new york doesn't know where grand central is?

did you catch south park putting the christ back in christmas last night?

have you realized that the twelve days of christmas are almost upon us, but that they are actually after christmas (until epiphany) not before as many think? better stock up on your lords a-leaping and geese a-laying. besides, for me, it is more like the fourteen days of christmas, since the holiday season doesn't truly end until the birth of the king, elvis presley, on january 8th. thirteen girls a-screaming, fourteen hips a-swaying.
