i'm not gay.

that's right. i no longer self-identify as gay. i mean, it is so gay to be gay. this is not to say that i'm not hot for the mens or anything. of course, i'm still a homosexual. but i need something more descriptive. something that is more closely tailored to my lifestyle (ew! i said lifestyle). i've been searching for this moniker for years now and yet, it has been staring me in the face from every support organization coast to coast.

what do i long to be? gayandlesbian. gal, for short, of course. my best friend casually dropped recently that he had been dubbed this by lesbian friends in law school. and damn was i jealous. now, i do realize that it is not a male perogative to simply announce that one is a lesbian, gay or otherwise. i am firm believer that gayandlesbianhood can really only be bestowed by a homo of the opposite gender. so, what say, ladies?
