Everybody's Gotta Sell It Sometime
2001-12-31

ok, so here goes. by way of introduction, i am aware of the pathetic cliche of beginning anything (such as a web diary) at the commencement of a new year. i am a firm believer that new year's resolutions are just setting yourself up for failure, given that in january it is cold, dark and depressing. not the most advantageous of circumstances for a positive life change but...

early in december i began writing unsolicited email messages to a circle of friends, mostly to numb the absolute boredom of temping (more on this subject later) but also as a way to reconnect to others and myself after the dismal and disappointing six months following my relocation to the crown jewel of the midwest, america's second city...chicago, illinois (more on this later as well). after stumbling upon this format over the holidays, i decided to make the leap into an unknown future and chronicle WHATEVER comes to mind (or what's left of it) here.

to get acclimated, i've decided to post these missives first, all of which revolve around a singular theme...Old Skool. The Neu will follow shortly.
