i was born in california. i was raised in california. i went to elementary school, junior high, high school, college, even law school in california. i had my first crush, my first kiss, my first girlfriend, my first boyfriend in california. i lost my virginity, fell in lust, fell in love, got arrested in california.
i love california. and for the first 30 something years of my life, it was home. and for 30 something years, despite everything, it has never once occurred to me to feel this way about home.
