Baby Make Your Move, Step Across The Line

further proof that i am somehow still managing to be ahead of the curve. in a desperately retro sort of way. i still hold that it is 2004, not 1984, but i'm probably wrong.

remember all that talk about hall and oates awhile back? well, soon after, i became a tad obsessed with the pointer sisters. probably cause of that sequence in love actually (i was on a plane, ok?) where hugh grant (as the prime minister, ok?) is dancing around to jump (for my love, ok?)

now, it turns out that one of the songs of the summer is junior jack's stupidisco, which features a slamming riff on the lovely ladies' "dare me", one of the tracks that was non-stop on the ipod just two short months ago.

touch me one more time. just saying.

oh, and go buy the new kings of convenience now now now. if ever there was a perfect summer record full of shimmer, this is the one. lay around in the grass or sway in breeze with the boys. they'd rather dance with you anyways.
